Full Window & Door Refurb for a Beautiful Stone Cottage

Set in the charming village of Coedway, near Shrewsbury, this stone cottage has recently had a full window and door transformation. The homeowners wanted to retain the traditional charm of their property while improving warmth, efficiency, and security, and our team delivered just that. With new cream Signature 2 Casement Windows, French doors, and a stunning Cambridge Composite Door in Agate Grey and Cream, this cottage now looks as beautiful as it is practical.

The Completed Project

This complete refurbishment brought new life to a much-loved Shrewsbury cottage. Every window and door was carefully replaced to match the property’s original character, using our classic cream frames to complement the stonework and rural surroundings. The Cambridge Composite Door, finished in Agate Grey with Cream Elegance Glass, adds a little sophistication to the entrance while providing excellent thermal performance and security. To finish the look, traditional Monkeytail Handles and an Antique Black Letter Plate with a Bull Ring Knocker add period-inspired charm that ties in beautifully with the rest of the home. The result is a bright, welcoming cottage that balances timeless design with modern performance, a transformation that blends seamlessly into its countryside setting while enhancing everyday comfort.

The Build Process

The project began with a full survey of the cottage to ensure every new frame and fitting would work perfectly with the property’s existing structure. Once everything was measured and prepared, our fitters began carefully removing the old windows and doors, paying special attention to preserving the surrounding stonework. Next came the installation of our Signature 2 Casement Windows and French Doors in cream, chosen to enhance the home’s character while improving insulation and reducing draughts. The Cambridge Composite Door followed, complete with Elegance Glass detailing for a touch of light and personality. Finally, we added the bespoke finishing touches, including Monkeytail Handles and the Antique Black Letter Plate and Knocker therefore giving the cottage that final flourish of country charm. Once the fittings were complete, a full clean and inspection ensured everything was perfect, leaving the homeowners with a refreshed, energy-efficient cottage that’s ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.
