A recently completed project in Telford featuring a bespoke double orangery with lantern roofs, aqua self-clean roof glass, and anthracite grey bi-fold doors. This installation created a bright, spacious extension that seamlessly connects the home with the garden while maintaining excellent thermal performance and modern aesthetics.
The Project Story
When the homeowners approached us, they weren’t simply looking for more space, they wanted to transform how they lived in their home. Their goal was to create a bright, welcoming orangery that could bring the family together, while also offering flexibility for everyday life.
Rather than going through the upheaval of moving, they chose to invest in their Telford home with a bespoke orangery extension that connects seamlessly to their kitchen. With six grandchildren regularly visiting, creating a warm, functional space for hosting and relaxing was a top priority.
Timing played a key role in the project too. Our team worked efficiently to complete the build just in time for Christmas, giving the family a brand-new space to enjoy the festive period together. Since completion, the orangery has quickly become the heart of the home, perfect for entertaining, relaxing, and even accommodating overnight guests when needed.
The Completed Project
The finished result is a large, bespoke orangery that blends beautifully with the existing property, delivering a light-filled, elegant extension to the home.
Opening directly from the kitchen, the space feels like a natural continuation rather than an add-on. Across the rear, full-width aluminium bi-fold doors flood the orangery with natural light while creating uninterrupted views of the garden.
A standout feature of this project is its clever internal layout. Instead of one open space, the orangery has been designed as two separate rooms, providing maximum flexibility for the homeowners.
Each room features its own lantern roof, enhancing both the architectural character and the amount of natural light entering the space.
The Build Process
This orangery was constructed entirely from new foundations by our experienced in-house team, ensuring complete control over quality at every stage of the build.
From initial groundworks through to final installation, every detail was carefully managed to create a seamless finish that complements the existing home. The project was delivered by our dedicated build team, with final installation completed by our expert fitters.
The homeowners also played a part in the process—one of them, a former electrician, carried out the electrical work themselves, allowing the lighting and power layout to be tailored precisely to their needs.
Despite a fixed deadline ahead of the festive period, the project was delivered on schedule without compromising on quality, resulting in a beautifully finished orangery ready to be enjoyed at Christmas.
